An MDC government will ensure the mining sector gives value to the national economy for the benefit of the nation by providing foreign exchange, jobs, local benefits to the region of location providing growth of other related and unrelated sector of the economy.

An MDC government will promote artesian mining, expand existing mine’s and assist in the refurbishment, mechanization of the sector and introduction of state of the art mining equipment that is effective and environmentally friendly.

An MDC will ensure Social Responsibility by obliging miners to plough back in the community and a deliberate policy that ensures value addition of minerals.

An MDC will support with advice, credit lines and training and development of labour with key skills that assist the Small-scale miners and indigenous investment in the sector.

ENERGY
Energy drives the economy.

An MDC government will ensure availability and affordability of energy including electricity and fuel by ensuring a reliable, adequate, of high quality that is accessible to the people.

An MDC government will ensure the overall refurbishment of existing infrastructure and initiating of new energy generation projects and alternative sources of energy.
